Effective, efficient communication is essential to the success of many as a venture. Because of this, a disruption in communication can often have disastrous results.
Not only must information be communicated, but it must be communicated on time. A delay in communication can be just as bad as no communication at all.
Car manufactures and the US government are seriously looking into and researching technology that will enable future cars communicate with each other and with objects around them. A developing technology called vehicle-to-vehicle communication (V2V) is been tested by automotive manufactures to help reduce amount of accidents on the road.
V2V works by using wireless signals to communicate between vehicles about their location, speed and direction. It provides information in order to keep the vehicles in safe distances from each other. It can also produce V2V algorithms that calculate information from cars to determine what the best evasive measure should be if another car started coming into its own projected path.
This system will definitely be helpful in avoiding road fatalities or it can bring more concerns in full proof safety of pedestrians. It is still in the processing and developing but hopefully it should open a new era in safety of vehicle transportation not just in the United States but globally.

I like that this feature provides implications for road safety, but it can also mean that more lunatics will be on the road, and people will purposefully distract themselves fromt the road because they can. but all in all i think its a great move
ReplyDeleteIt would be amazing if that actually works thank God for technology which is now at it's finest.
ReplyDeleteA system like this is already out...for aeroplanes. Because I'm a big plane fanatic it means that I will love to this V2V implemented in auto mobiles. I also wonder if it would mean automatic driving as well.
ReplyDeleteI support this because it will seriously reduce the amount of drunk driving fatalities, texting and driving fatalities and any other road fatalities where the drivers attention may be divided. The only problem which might arise is that it would facilitate these bad and dangerous habits.
